The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) is a public university in Muzaffarabad, founded in 1980, and the largest educational institution in Azad Kashmir. It has four faculties and about 15,000-16,000 students, with instruction in English and Urdu. It is ranked 16th in the HEC general category. Its motto is 'Enter to learn, leave to serve!'.
