FATA University is a public university in Akhorwal, Darra Adam Khel, Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, established in 2016 and described as the first university in the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas. Classes began on 24 October 2016 in Government Degree College Darra Adam Khel while a permanent 58.25-acre campus is built. Sub-campuses are planned at Khar, Miran Shah and Parachinar.
