Williams College is a private liberal arts college in Williamstown, Massachusetts, chartered in 1793 and located on Main Street in the Berkshires. It is an undergraduate-focused college best known for its tutorial teaching model, small classes and strong humanities, sciences and arts programs, and offers limited graduate programs in art history and development economics. Williams has no Early Action option; the Early Decision deadline is November 15 and the Regular Decision deadline is in early January (January 4 or 5 on the official pages). Testing is optional, and applicants who send scores must send the full SAT or ACT, which Williams superscores. Applicants submit the Common Application, Coalition Application or QuestBridge Application, a school report, counselor recommendation, two teacher recommendations and a mid-year report.
