The University of West London opened its RAK Branch Campus in 2017 in the RAKEZ Academic Zone, Ras Al Khaimah, extending the London-based university's reach into the UAE at a time when several UK institutions were establishing dedicated branch campuses in the emirates. It offers seven courses across four broad streams, engineering, business and management studies, accounting and commerce, and IT and software, at both undergraduate level (including B.E./B.Tech and BBA degrees) and graduate level (including MS and MBA/PGDM options), with particular focus on specialisations such as cyber security and computer science engineering that reflect current demand from regional employers. As with other UK branch campuses in the UAE, the RAK campus positions its offering as delivering the same University of West London qualifications and standards as its home campus in the UK, giving graduates a British degree without relocating abroad. Admission considers candidates' prior academic record together with relevant test scores, including Duolingo, IELTS, TOEFL and PTE for English proficiency.
