United States University began in 1997 as InterAmerican College. It moved to a Chula Vista facility in 2011 and to Mission Valley in San Diego in July 2016, and its catalog says the main campus moved to Sandy Springs, Georgia in 2025, so the Chula Vista address on file is out of date. WSCUC lists it as accredited and for-profit, first accredited in 2009, with a commission action on June 27, 2025, an interim report due Spring 2027 and a visit planned for Spring 2030. WSCUC placed it on probation in 2013 over financial weaknesses and lifted that in June 2015. Listed offerings include an RN-to-MSN nursing bridge, distance master's degrees and teacher credential preparation, which it has offered on site since 2008. It does not require the GRE or GMAT, and international applicants complete a phone interview before applying online.
