Thomas Aquinas College opened in fall 1971 in Calabasas under founding president Ronald McArthur and moved to its present campus near Santa Paula in 1978, on roughly 835 acres in Ventura County. A second campus opened in Northfield, Massachusetts in 2019. The college has one degree, a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts, taught through a Great Books curriculum of tutorials, seminars and laboratories with an average class size of 15, and every student writes a senior thesis. Wikipedia cites 566 students across both campuses, roughly half men and half women, and an average SAT around 1280. Athletics are intramural only, including volleyball, soccer, flag football and basketball, with a climbing wall on campus. The California campus admits students of all faiths who respect its Catholic mission, while the New England campus admits only Catholics. Admissions are rolling and there is no application fee.
