Simpson College is a private Methodist liberal arts college in Indianola, Iowa, founded in 1860 as the Indianola Male and Female Seminary. It became the Des Moines Conference Seminary in 1865 and was renamed Simpson Centenary College in the late 1860s, dropping Centenary in 1885; it honors Methodist Bishop Matthew Simpson. The suburban campus covers about 85 acres and enrolled 1,151 students in fall 2022.
