Musicians Institute sits on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood and has trained performers since 1977. It is a private music and audio school rather than a traditional university, with curricula for guitar, bass, drums, voice, keyboard and production and technology tracks. State filings show a Performance certificate alongside associate and bachelor-level offerings, including a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting and Production in earlier reports. The school is approved to operate by California's Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education and is accredited by a US Department of Education recognised accreditor; earlier state reports named the National Association of Schools of Music. Programmes change over time, and the 2024 state report listed total charges of $39,708 for the performance certificate. Applicants should confirm audition and placement steps with the admissions office.
