London Business School opened a centre in Dubai in 2006 and launched its Dubai campus in 2007, its first outside London, located in the Dubai International Financial Centre, giving it a base among the region's major banks and financial institutions. As one of the world's more prestigious business schools, with its main London campus long established as a leading centre for management education, LBS treats the Dubai campus primarily as a delivery site for its flagship Executive MBA rather than a full standalone branch university. The Dubai campus delivers London Business School's Executive MBA programme, part-time and designed for experienced professionals, to around 120 students a year, following the same curriculum and academic standards as the London campus so that graduates in Dubai and London earn an equivalent qualification. Alongside the EMBA, the centre runs executive education and short courses in strategy, finance and leadership for working managers and organisations seeking targeted professional development rather than a full degree programme.
