Life Pacific University is a Christian university at 1100 West Covina Boulevard in San Dimas, California, tied to the Foursquare Church. It traces its origins to 1923, when Aimee Semple McPherson set up the Echo Park Evangelistic and Missionary Training Institute shortly after Angelus Temple opened in Los Angeles. It took the LIFE name in 1926 as LIFE Bible College, standing for Lighthouse of International Foursquare Evangelism, and moved into a five-story complex beside Angelus Temple. Rolf K. McPherson succeeded her as leader after her death in 1944. The college relocated to San Dimas in 1990, adopted the name Life Pacific College in the early 2000s, and became Life Pacific University in 2019. A sister campus, LPU East in Christiansburg, Virginia, launched its first four-year programmes in August 2024, and a seminary and Center for Pentecostal Studies opened in 2023. It is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission.
