Khawarizmi International College was established in 1985, making it one of the older private higher-education institutions operating in the UAE, having been founded well before the wave of branch campuses and new private universities that arrived in the country from the late 1990s onward. It offers a range of undergraduate and diploma programmes across fields including Business Administration, Information Technology, and Health Sciences, positioning itself as a broad-based, accessible college rather than a highly specialised or research-intensive university. The college is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education, and unlike more selective institutions, applicants generally need only meet the college's published admission requirements to enrol, without competing against other candidates for limited places, making it a relatively accessible option for students who may not meet the higher entry thresholds of some of the UAE's more competitive universities.
