Jumeira University was granted its initial licence from the Ministry of Education on 1 March 2011, with its main campus building completed by December 2011, and opened for its first academic term in February 2012 under the leadership of Mr Khalifa Bin Dhaen. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across Business, Education, Health Sciences, Islamic Studies and Design, with an emphasis on strong industry connections, apprenticeship opportunities and technology integration to prepare graduates for the UAE job market. Its programmes are designed to build a global learning community while staying rooted in the local Islamic and Arabic academic tradition.
