The Imperial College of Business Studies in Lahore was established in 1991 by the Pakistan Benevolence and Social Management Trust, with early academic collaboration from the University of Hull in the UK. In 2002 the Punjab government chartered it as an independent degree-awarding institution through the Imperial College of Business Studies Ordinance 2002, so it is not simply an affiliated college. The college site also describes recognition by the National Business Education Accreditation Council. Its academic units include schools of business, economics and management sciences, computing and information sciences, engineering and technology, and architecture, art and design, as well as a faculty of health and allied sciences and an English department. It is a private institution and lists its address as Canal Bank Road, Shahkam Chowk, Bahria Town, Lahore.
