The HCT Dubai Women's Campus (DBW) was founded in 1989, opening with just 145 students in a converted Dubai car showroom, and its early graduates were pioneers among the first Emirati women to enter the predominantly male UAE workforce. As part of the wider Higher Colleges of Technology network founded in 1988 by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, DBW has since grown into a state-of-the-art campus spanning 350,000 square metres with around 2,600 students, offering Bachelor's degrees in Applied Communications, Business, Computer Information Science, Education, Engineering Technology and Science, and Health Sciences.
