Grace Christian University is a private evangelical Christian university in Wyoming, Michigan, a suburb of Grand Rapids, on a 23-acre campus. It began in 1939 as an evening Bible institute in Milwaukee led by Charles F. Baker, became Milwaukee Bible Institute and Milwaukee Bible College, and moved to the Grand Rapids area in 1961 as Grace Bible College. Its board voted in 2017 to change the name, and Grace Christian University took effect on July 1, 2018. It is tied to the Grace Gospel Fellowship, competes in NCCAA athletics as the Tigers, and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Over 900 students attend, and Bible credits are required in every degree. Popular majors include lay ministry, human services, psychology, business and biblical studies. It has offered online education since 2010. Note that the listing's 1984 founding year does not match the school's own 1939 history.
