Fielding Graduate University is a graduate-only institution headquartered at 2020 De la Vina Street in Santa Barbara, California. It was founded in 1974 and has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since June 1982. Most of its programmes are delivered online or through blended formats, so the Santa Barbara address functions mainly as an administrative base. Fielding awards master's and doctoral degrees, with doctorates in areas such as media psychology and human development noted in its news archive. It has also earned the Carnegie Foundation's community engagement classification. Because it is a distance-oriented school with no assistantships or fellowships for current students, applicants plan their studies around part-time or working schedules. Programme-specific deadlines and requirements are on the official site.
