Cleary University is a private university focused on business education, based in Livingston County near Howell, Michigan (Genoa Charter Township). It was founded in 1883 in Ypsilanti by Patrick Roger Cleary as the Cleary School of Penmanship, became Cleary Business College in 1891 and Cleary College, an independent not-for-profit, in 1933. It opened a Livingston County branch in 1979, left Ypsilanti in 1999, and took the name Cleary University in 2002 when it added graduate programs. It also has a Detroit education center. Programs include certificates, associate, Bachelor of Business Administration, master's and MBA degrees, and athletic teams are the Cougars. Its Cleary Direct Connect program virtually eliminates the application for eligible Livingston County students. The official admissions page lists no GPA or test minimums, so those details are not stated here.
