Bahria University (BU) was established in 2000 by the Pakistan Navy and is a public-sector semi-government university with campuses in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. It has over 21,000 students and offers degrees in management sciences, engineering (electrical, computer, software), law, computer science, earth and environmental sciences, psychology, humanities and social sciences, and medical and dental sciences. It is accredited by HEC, PEC and PMDC, and has MoUs with 21 international universities. Times Higher Education places it among the top 250 universities under 50 years old.
