AdventHealth University, formerly Adventist University of Health Sciences, is a Seventh-day Adventist health sciences school based in Orlando. It began in 1992 as Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences on the Florida Hospital campus, with David Greenlaw as founder and first president. Its roots go back to a nursing program started in 1913 at Florida Sanitarium. The school became a university and took the name Adventist University of Health Sciences in 2012, then rebranded as AdventHealth University in 2019 to follow its parent system. Wikipedia reports 1,692 students as of spring 2025, with 1,221 undergraduates and 471 postgraduates. It also has campuses in Tampa and Denver. All on-campus undergraduates first apply for General Studies admission, then submit a separate program application, for example for nursing. BSN applicants need a TEAS composite of 62.5 percent and grades of C or better in required courses.
