The Abu Dhabi Women's Campus (ADW) opened in 1988 as one of the four founding campuses of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), established by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to provide work-relevant, English-taught higher education across the UAE. Located in the centre of Abu Dhabi, the campus offers programmes in Applied Media, Business, Computer Information Science and Electronic Engineering, supported by film and sound studios and fully equipped computer and science laboratories. In August 2023, HCT opened a new campus in Baniyas, Abu Dhabi, replacing its earlier city campuses, including this one.
