Loomis Chaffee School is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory school in Windsor, Connecticut, about seven miles north of Hartford, with boarding and day students. The Loomis Institute was chartered in 1874, and the school was founded in 1914. It serves grades 9 through 12 plus postgraduate students on a 300-acre suburban campus. Loomis Chaffee is a member of the Ten Schools Admission Organization and competes in the Founders League. Its motto is Ne Cede Malis.
