Alleyn's School is an independent, co-educational day school in Dulwich, South London, for pupils aged 4 to 18. It has a Senior School with a Sixth Form and two junior schools, Alleyn's Junior School and Alleyn's Oakfield. The school traces its origins to Edward Alleyn, an Elizabethan actor who created Alleyn's College of God's Gift. King James I granted Letters Patent recognising the Foundation in 1619. Alleyn's School became a separate part of the College in 1882 and moved to its Townley Road site in 1887. It became co-educational in 1976. The school still shares its foundation with Dulwich College and James Allen's Girls' School. Pupils join at set entry points from age 4, and scholarships and bursaries are available at 11+ and 16+.
