The American International School in Abu Dhabi (AISA) is a private school that teaches Kindergarten to Grade 12. It opened in 1995 and belongs to the Esol Education family of schools. AISA combines an American curriculum with International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. Elementary students follow the IB Primary Years Programme, and high school students can take the IB Diploma Programme. AISA was the first school in the UAE to offer the IB Diploma. It was also the first in Abu Dhabi authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme. The Middle States Association first accredited the school in 1997, and the Council of International Schools accredited it in 2010. Students come from more than 80 countries and speak over 30 languages. The Secondary School uses a gender-segregated model.

Application form, current and previous two years' school reports, recommendation form, standardized test scores, specialist reports if relevant, valid passport copy, and a birth certificate translated into English or Arabic.
