Truckee Meadows Community College is a public community and technical college in Reno, Nevada, and a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education. It was founded in 1971 as a branch of Western Nevada Community College and operated under its own name from 1979. The college is primarily a commuter campus with four locations serving the Reno and Sparks area. It offers more than 70 programs of study, including certificates, associate degrees, university-transfer coursework, developmental courses, and a number of bachelor's degrees in fields such as logistics operations management, emergency management and homeland security, architecture, dental hygiene, nursing and radiologic technology. Its program areas include business and information technology, health sciences, and manufacturing and skilled trades.
