The Leys School is a co-educational boarding and day school in the centre of Cambridge. It opened on 16 February 1875 with sixteen boys from English Methodist families. The Methodist Conference set up the school, and Rev. Dr W. F. Moulton became its first headmaster. Within two years, it had about 100 pupils. In 1938, the governors acquired St Faith's Preparatory School, creating The Leys and St Faith's Schools Foundation. Today, the school is fully co-educational and has more than 550 pupils on a fifty-acre campus. A broad curriculum runs alongside a Wider Curriculum that forms part of every pupil's week. The school celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2025. It plans an all-through school with St Faith's.
