Poly Prep Country Day School is an independent, coeducational day school in Brooklyn, New York, serving students from Nursery through Grade 12. The school states that it has built a tradition of excellence since 1854, when it opened as the Brooklyn Collegiate and Polytechnic Institute. It was incorporated as the Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School in 1916 and began moving toward coeducation in the mid-1970s. Poly Prep operates two campuses: the Lower School (Nursery to Grade 4) is at 50 Prospect Park West in Park Slope, while the Middle School (Grades 5 to 8) and Upper School (Grades 9 to 12) are at 1 Poly Prep Drive in Dyker Heights.
