International Grammar School & College (IGS) is a private, family-owned school in Sector F-11/4, Islamabad. It was established in 1982. The school says it was the first in Islamabad to offer GCE O and A Levels to all students. IGS has always run as a single-campus school and has moved sites over the years. It now occupies a self-designed 2-acre campus. Students study from Pre-Nursery to Class X and sit Cambridge IGCSE examinations in May and June. The school keeps a student-teacher ratio of 25:1 and has an on-campus student counsellor. Facilities include computer and science labs, a library, smart boards and sports grounds for basketball, cricket, football and volleyball. IGS reports about 525 students and 75 qualified teachers. The Kureshi family leads the school, with Mrs. B.A. Kureshi as Principal.
