Guilford Technical Community College is a public community college with its main address at 601 East Main Street in Jamestown, North Carolina. It opened in 1958 as the Guilford Industrial Education Center, became Guilford Technical Institute in 1965, and took its present name in 1983. Campuses are in Jamestown, Greensboro, High Point and Colfax, with aviation and small business locations as well. The college offers over 70 degrees and about 100 short-term training programs, organized into eight career pathways including Health Sciences and Wellness, Public Safety, Business, and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It is known for its aviation programs and the Larry Gatlin School of Entertainment Technology at the High Point campus.
