Dragon School is an independent, co-educational prep school in Oxford for pupils aged 4 to 13. It takes day pupils as well as flexi and full boarders. About thirty Oxford graduates, including heads of colleges and professors, founded it in 1877 for their children. It opened as the Oxford Little Boys' School and later became the Oxford Preparatory School. Under its second head, C. C. Lynam, the school moved to Bardwell Road and began to admit girls in the 1890s. It took the name Dragon School in 1920. Today the Prep School is on Bardwell Road, and the Pre-Prep is on Woodstock Road in Summertown. The school prepares pupils for their next schools through its Future Schools pathway and runs an Overseas Pathway for international families.
