City College of San Francisco (CCSF) is a public community college in San Francisco, California. It is the only college of the San Francisco Community College District. The college opened in 1935 as San Francisco Junior College and took its current name in 1948. Its main Ocean Campus is at 50 Frida Kahlo Way, and the college runs several other centers across the city. CCSF offers associate degrees, certificates, transfer courses, and noncredit classes, including English as a second language. Its Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies program dates from 1936. In 2017, the college launched Free City, a tuition-free program for eligible San Francisco residents. CCSF enrolled about 23,400 students in 2023.
